Just a quick question as a newbie to this riding malarky,Because the weathers slightly warmer are you still wearing your skull cap obviously with your helmet?

any tip much welcome

It's still a bit chilly in my neck of the woods in the morning (but a lot warmer in the afternoons); I use a Gore-tex/fleecey headband under my CC buff early on, and just the headband (under the helmet) coming home.

When it's a lot warmer, I'll just have the lid on.

It's finally warm enough in the daytime to retire the skull cap and adopt the cotton cycling cap (of which I own many). I wear them under the helmet always. They prevent sunburn (stripes) and make an excellent "radiator" w/ addition of water (quick squirt of the water bottle -- not to be confused w/ Gator-Aid).

Buff, but no helmet. I have already landed on my swede once and had a week in hospital, so I am not due another one until 2040 by which time I shall be dead anyway.

Cycle-cap under helmet in summer, standard buff under helmet either bandana or French foreign legion style in the summer.
Good for temp control. keeping waspies and other bugs out of hair and in FFL styyle good for keeping sun off neck too.
