SKS Chromoplastics v Bluemels

As per another thread, SKS have been fantastic in replacing my Bluemels the twice they have cracked. However I'm wondering if it happens again, will I be better replacing the Bluemels with Chromoplastics, what the difference? at a guess the Bluemels are lighter and stiffer but hence are more vulnerable to cracking, plus the bluemels have no mud flaps and reflectors so IMO look better on a road bike.
