Want to get some SKS guards for Mrs FF's Boardman Hybrid. Tyres are 28mm Conti ultra-sports. Don't plan to go any fatter.
SKS do a 35mm sction guard for 700 x20 to 28 size tyre and then a 42mm section for 700 x 25 to 35.

Basically, want the thing pretty light and aerodynamic without too much extra guardage, will the 35mm section do the job sufficiently on a 28c tyre?

Any experience?

The 42s have quite a lot of clearance on a 35mm tyre, so I think you'll be better off with the thinner ones.

The 35mm set are fine with 28mm slicks and look very nice. I have them on my Boardman Hybrid Pro.

I can honestly say that it ticks all the boxes for me. It's light, fast and stops on a sixpence and I can use it without feeling that I have to tear along as I do on my carbon road bike. It's a perfect bike for commuting and it is great for riding bike paths or light off road use.
