Skinny fat bike

Hi folks,

I have an 06 Gary Fisher Advance that I would like to put some bigger tires on if at all possible now that winter is here. The stock tires are 2" but I wondered how I would go about figuring the fattest tires (& tubes) the stock rims would take?

The rims are apparently Matrix 550 in case that helps.

Hi,

Use some common sense. Look at your tyre clearances. I suspect tread
pattern differences are much more important than going much over 2" size.
