I'd start from where you are and head towards Skegness! :okay:

More seriously ... it would help to know where you want to start from and whether you want to do the shortest route, the quickest route, the easiest route, the prettiest route (whatever).

Do not let go of your bike at any time of day, as for sure somebody will need to get back from the pub. I cannot imagine a worse place to cycle too, well maybe Ingoldmells or Cleethorpes come to think of it Mablethorpe, funny they all seem to be on the Lincolnshire coast.

Head for the Wolds, they are worth cycling too, Belchford, Tetford and plenty more.

i dont know if this is any good - there is one place where its a shiit gravel private road for about a mile but it can be bypassed on a busier road and right near the end they have built a new road and you have to use a cycle path to get about 200yds - best viewed in google earth i should think - i will say as soon as you hit the flat bit - it is truely flat as a pancake - if the wind is against you it will feel like hell - it does bring you out at butlins though !

Yeah as Cyberknight said I may have some insight to this, I rode there and back a few years ago, and, potentially doing it again this year, but in half the time!

To be honest it depends on what you want I guess, back country lanes where you can pootle along or a bigger road where you can just get your head down.

Picking the route up where I rode above Leicester it would of gone: Upper Broughton, Long Clawson, Croxton Kerrial, Great Ponton,
Boothy Pagnell, Ingoldsby, Folkingham, Billingborough, Pointon, Gosberton, Sutterton, Kirkton, Wyberton, Boston, Butterwick, Wrangle, Friskney, Wainfleet All-Saints, Croft, Skegness. That was my roughly 2012 route missing out the first X amount of miles.

If I do it this year it will be the A607 and then the A52 - job done... ^_^

Im riding to skegness next friday which way would u think would be the best way to go

If you go onto ridewithgps you should find plenty of routes. (Skegness seems to be a popular ride for charity from Leicester, pretty sure there is an annual one that starts from the clock tower.)

I'm plucking up the courage to attempt a 200 miler and was thinking of doing Skeggy and back.
