What height person would this bike best suit? Been Googling for ages and i still have no idea.

He says this in the ad

(The frame measurement from the top where the seat post goes into the seat tube to the the round section at the bottom holding the axle is 24" and the top tube is 23")

Ideas please....

That's a 59cm and you'd be looking at 6 foot ish.

I'm 5'9 and take 56cm on old school bikes.

So im 5'11" is that ok to buy and restore?

If you are 5'11" with 34" legs then reach may be a problem.

the top tube CTC is usually about the same as the seat tube so that is going to be around 59cms as well.

it's not a great Pug either - I'd wait for a better fitting model.

( A quick guide to size is the size of the headtube between the down tube and top tube - the bigger the gap the bigger the bike as a general rule).

Bad Idea?

They were cheap mass produced bikes.

The frame looks in reasonable nick - touch up rather than restore - although you would have to physically check that it has not been in a crash.

TBH the wheel hubs look cheap - that usually means that even with the best care in the world they are usually shot.

You might say the same for the BB and headset - so you can soon find a lot more expense headed your way together with some explitive deleted moments if the headset or BB shell prove difficult to move because they have seized.

Cheers,
It’s more for the enjoyment of restoring a bike as a project, slowly over time as a novelty piece. Making it retro with like a brown seat and handlebar tape etc. Something to do in the garage when cycling is on the mind but the weather or my legs aren’t up for a ride.
I’m not willing to pay over £40 for it.
