Having just invested in carbon fibre and hearing that Chris Hoy's bike ended up in four pieces, I ask the question: How strong is Carbon Fibre?

i broke my magnesium frame and i'm only 11st. it can happen to any frame. he's prob fell off it a few times and cracked it

If you saw the actual crash on TV - you wouldn't need to ask why it broke

I hope carbon fibre is strong - all of the next generation of passenger airplanes are going to be made from it!!

It is remarkably easy to saw with a junior hacksaw, by the way.
