I love that Siobhan Finneran, me. I'll watch pretty much anything she's in and feel better about it because she's in it.

I always liked her until I saw her undoubted talent when she was in that film Apostasy. Kicked off for me after that. Dark stuff but she acted the bollocks of that role.

Anyway, that's me bypassing Rita, Sue and Bob three and Happy Valley but for me, she's a rare diamond I'm glad to have found my way to.

Definitely not a character actor in my book and I find her slightly wooden. Hopelessly miscast in detective-type dramas.

Obviously she has had (and is still having) a very solid career and she is very popular, too.

It's good to see someone doing so well, over such a long period of time, in such a tough career.

Good on her.

I'm rewatching Doctor Who (Jodie Whitaker era) and Siobhan pops up as a 17th Century landowner that likes to drown people (is it ever mentioned that Doctor Who is a kid show lol).

She looks a little like Zelda from Terrahawks in it....

Who?

When did that happen?

A family show, maybe, but certainly not a kids show. It has always been aimed mainly at adults, but usually acceptable for older kids (say about 10+).

Oh I know, just a bit of humour on my part I suppose because that episode (Witchfinders) casually mentions they drowned over 30 people. Far higher than the number of actual 'witches' originally tried! I wonder which one of the Dr Who staff was wronged by a 'witch' in a past life lol.
