Single speed half link chains

Hi can anyone advise me on whether half link single speed chains are good or are they worse than standard whole chain links? My tricycle chain is nearly 8 feet long & with the trike weighing over 10 stone the wear & tear of the chain (chain stretching) does happen but it isn't always possible to remove whole links when the chain hasn't stretched enough but it's too slack to ride on without the fear of the chain possibly derailing.
Any advise is very much appreciated
Thanks in advance

Is there not some adjustment in the tensioner to take up the slack until a pair of links need to be removed.
BTW nice trike, makes mine look like a racer in comparison.

Although mine has been modified (by me) to much lower 'North Road' bars and an electric front wheel with a centre mounted pannier battery pack and panniers instead of the basket on the rear.

Why don't you put a single half link into a regular chain?

I don't know if half link chains are measurably worse for stretching but they certainly won't be better
