I have bought these SIDI shoes second hand with a bike, but I cannot find any model name or number on them. Any ideas? They are made in Italy, weigh 660 grammes and say Airplus on the insole. They're a size 45 but are too small for me so I'm going to sell them.

Sidi shoes seem quite an expensive brand.

I'd guess they're Sidi Genius of some version or another. They vary from year to year but I think the side clamp and two velcro straps is usually what you get with the Genius.

Others may have a better idea as it's a few years now since I bought Sidi - I basically stopped using them when I stopped racing and went for slipper-comfortable shoes in the form of Specialized BG. Not that there's anything wrong with Sidis, if they fit your feet they're well made, performance shoes.

I used the Spesh BG Road too, they're much more comfy than these Italian things - I guess that's the price you pay for fashion.

what are the soles like? Do they take SPD-SLs?

They take the three screw cleats, SPD SL, Look etc... They have the screw in heel grip also.

It seems the Sidi Genius shoes go for £50-60ish on ebay so that's where they'll end up.

I've got a matching pair of women's Genius Pro (or some such name) - but in the same colour.
Maybe we could do a 'his 'n hers'
