I bought a bike last week, got it home and there were problems with it. I posted on here to ask what would be the best thing to do, as I am new to bikes.
I had a look at some tutorials that were suggested, then had a tinker. Thought everything was fine, but decided to take the bike back last night.
The shop looked and accepted that things were not as they should be. Being in the Middle East the store manager has to wait until Monday to speak to his boss before getting back to me.
I have said I will only accept a bike that is in its original carton, the exact model that I originally chose, failing that I want a refund.
I had a Fuji Inari ladies like this which cost the equivalent of £251

After leaving the store (and bike) we called in at another bike shop, I tried a few bikes from comfort bike, urban bike and mountain bike. I really like the feel of the Trek Skye, which would be the equivalent of £266

As I said I am new to bikes, the last time i had one in the early 70's it was a xmas pressie. My dad would sort it out and it was a typical kids bike, thrown on the ground, picked up and ridden all over the place, with a dad to fix it.
If the links work and anyone has the time or patience to take a look I would really appreciate someone who understands the techinical side of bikes taking a look and giving a bit of advice.
Cheers in advance.
