Hi all, ima. Right clean fream with my bike i wash it a few times a week, ive got some muc off chain lube the blue stuff but whenever i put it on the chain is hacky black after a ride and gets everywhere, i apply a thin layer to the whole chain then wipe off with a cloth, but if i keep the chain lube free it looks nice and shiny and i notice no difference performance wise. Any idea's?

Lube your chain! If you don't lube it occasionally it will break.

Just as @ianrauk says- you're not wiping enough of it off, if it's black it's picking up dirt and dust and crud. You should be able to touch it without it leaving a mark as the lube shouldn't be on the outside. Mickle it properly and it'll be clean and shiny AND perform better/ last longer.

I'm sure I've read on here before that the blue Muc off lube is not very good and very messy.

Also, ime, wet lube tends to attract dirt more than dry lube.
Needs a lot of wiping if you want a shiny chain!
I don't always bother

I think i do wipe it enough but ill try more i always wipe it to a shine and so its not mucky to touch i only lube the inside of the chain not the outer, i mights start applying it with something like a paintbrush to see if that helps

Forget the paintbrush.
All you need is a tiny drop on each link, 1 at a time. Run the chain up and down the cogs then wipe.
