Should I be worried about this?

Hello people,
I went to see today a Surly Bridge Club 2020 and saw this protruding on the frame near the bottom bracket. It seems not only on the surface, but going a little into the tubes. Do you think this is dangerous enough to cause frame to crack?

The bike has a price of 700 USD and seems like reasonable price, but this worries me.

Owner import bikes from other countries and says this is from a kickstand.

What is your opinion?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

It might be from a kickstand and I'd still step away.

I'm with Ali, like a stand or some such has been clamped there. It's probably fine, other than the cosmetic damage, but it's surely a lot easier and safer to find a bike thet isn't damaged and buy that.

Difficult to tell without inspecting it closely, If there is any indentation or cracking I should avoid it otherwise should be okay. Steel frame which can usually stand such abuse. Looks like there's some damage to the bottom of the seat tube too.
Some pics of the bike would help us to evaluate the asking price. If you still really want it the damage is a serious bargaining chip.

It may be the camera angle , but it looks to me as if the rear wheel isn't sitting equidistant between the chainstays (and relative to the mudguard boss), too. Avoid.

Yes, you are right. I observed this one as well. In a nutshell I feel like this was the correct decision. There are other Surly bikes out there.
