“Gamages unique offer to ‘Chums’ readers”. “Chums” magazine was a publication in a similar vein to “Boys Own”. It ceased production in 1941 (wartime paper shortage). So the advert could be from the 1930s.
Further Googling indicates the advert is even older than 1930s. Gamages moved from Holborn to Oxford St. in about 1928. The store was founded in 1878. So the claim “22 years sterling reputation” would date the advert at 1900.
