i, I have a Trek 7.5FX with Shimano M443 Octalink crankset. I have suffered from knee pain since getting this bike and would like to switch from 175mm crank arms to 165 but cannot find any suitable. Can anyone advise?

That's quite a big jump have you had a bike fit to see what it recommends. I could be wrong dont think the crank length will be the crux of the issue anyway; its more likely to be saddle height/ cleat set up or just that you have a grinding pedal style; you might have already done so but they are more effective and cheaper ;) avenues to explore first.

^ 2nd .

adjust seat until you have a slight bend at knee when pedals in bottom position , it doesnt require a straight leg position which only thumps your knee every stroke .
