Hello
iv'e ventured onto the mtb thread as thinking of getting a bike, I have road bikes but want to get into mtb .

Anyway the shoes I want are
specialized bg primo shoes, iv'e seen some of a few bike sites but not my size and they all seem tp have no stock in other sizes.
DOES ANYONE KNOW A GOOD STOCKIST

I think you're out of luck - it looks like these shoes were discontinued a couple of years ago - as far as I can see there are just a few odd sizes left at different dealers. The Specialized site itself only has size 6.

What's with everybody using platform pedals for mountain biking these days? Pick up MBR or MBUK and it's all you see.

I just wouldn't feel safe without SPDs. How do you lift the back?

It's what you're used to I suppose. It took me probably 10 years to be completely confident with SPDs off road.

I use double sided pedals, after 20 plus years of having MTB's, I still prefer flats (did I just type that out loud? ;))

I use specialized tahoe for commuting even though I ride flats, on my 29'er i ride in teva links, amazing trainer like and again on flats, they stick like glue  i think most people recommend using 5-10's but i really like the teva's.
