I have decided to move to the 21st Centuary, and have taken my peddles off. I have also removed the small plate on the sole of my shoes. However there are four holes, and only two on the cleat? Do I use the front or the back ones? Also does the cleat fit over the bottom plate, or is the plate for protection when yhe cleats are not in use?
Thanks.

This has been done many years ago in the early 1800's, they called it a "Velocipede", with its nickname "Dandy Horse", don't remove the strap off your helmet either to move into the 21st century also, as you can see that has been done too!

In fact just reread your post, so exactly what century are you in now?

But take it from me, leave your peddles on because we have been using pedals since about the 19th century. I have worked it out, you must be from the future or the 20th century, otherwise you would not have a computer with internet access, but if you are from the future does this mean there is no "Wicki's" in your century to research the past.

Is there any chance of, whatever you've been drinking, pop a bottle or two in the post for me as I'd like to change century myself some times.

I assume that you intend to put some different pedals back on the bike... <ignore him eh!>

4 holes in your shoe...SPD shoes have 2 holes across the width of the shoe...

...you've got the wrong type of shoe for your pedals.
Unless someone can confirm using 2 out of 4 holes is ok? I doubt it, but what do I know.

Use 2 of the 4 holes!

Normally you use the pair of holes that will allow the cleats to sit under the ball of your foot.

If you have small feet you might try them further forward.
If you have large feet you might try them further back.

The plate is only for when you have NO cleats...

Zacklaws..Wow!!!!

Ah don't worry, I've had a long day in the saddle and I'm hurting all over for once, so i'm looking for a release of humour, should have gone to bed a while ago to get rest for tomorows ride out, but I've took too much damm caffeine and taurine during my ride today and it don't seem to be wearing off.

Any chance that those shoes of yours from your century do not match our pedals in our century?
