Hi,

I have recently got into spinning classes. I'm thinking of getting some cycling shoes for the classes, instead of using normal trainers. Looking at the cycling shoes I'm completly lost.

The bike I use is ->LINK<- (Keiser M3). Could some one please tell me what type of shoes will go with this bike? As anyone got any recommendations, I'm only looking for a cheap-ish pair really.

Thanks

I don't think it says other than
Adjustable Shimano™ Combo Pedals
that narrows it down to Spd, Spl-sl or Spd-r (unlikely, discontinued). The last time I done a spin class their bike were Spd, I reckon it is too but check before buying.

Edit Generally Spd soes are the cheapest, you'll probably find something by Spezialized or Shimano to your budget or if you want to go for extra good value imo, Lidl every so often do cheap shoes. You'll also need to buy cleats.

The picture shows strap and clip pedals.
Plus if you're currently using trainers then one would assume if they're not strap and clip then they would have to be something like the A530s with clip on one side and flat on the other so er what do they look like ?

AFAIK, the main difference between cycling shoes and trainers (apart from a shoe-pedal fixing system) is that the soles of cycling shoes are much stiffer, enabling greater/better power delivery through the shoe to the pedal.

Try a stiffer-soled shoe first, particularly if it is pedal/toestrap; if you still want more, ask the staff what kind of fixing system is used.

You want a shoe with SPD cleats either a road shoe with a stiffer sole or a mountain bike type sole. The shoe is unimportant its the cleat that matters.
Hope this helps
