Had my first experience of clipless pedals today (Shimano PDM540). Really happy with them and what a difference it makes.

I've got Shimano MO88 shoes. The metal insert on the shoe comes with 4 holes but the cleat only has 2. I've just bolted the cleat on to one side of the insert but it leaves a hole to the inside of the shoes. I've put the plastic sticker on under the sole but on my ride today my feet were wetter than wet.

Is this just the case and I need overshoes or am I missing something?

Hope that all makes sense and thanks in advance.

I put the sticker on the inside, under the insole but on the shoe. Although if its wet then you are getting wet regardless! Overshoes help but you've still got a big hole where your foot goes in!!

I use shimano Tarmac over shoes, they don't cover all off the sole, just The tops and just under the sole, and my feet are always dry, my cleats are also 2 screws,

Think I'll try and conjure up some form of rubber seal under the cleat. I've got some thin rubber strips in the garage!
