shimano xtr holllowtech II 0-ring

not found an exploded diagram of this hence asking

There is a narrow o-ring, maybe 0.5 mm in cross-section that sits on the spindle of the hollowtech II chainset - where does it go?

I am guessing it goes up against the inner face of the RH crank - so would be between the crank and the bearing cup - is that correct?

then should there be one for the LH crank too?

her is photo:

o-ring is 25 mm dia, 1.0 mm c.a. and at the base of the spindle is the seal - looks similar to the seal on the LH crank,

I suspect there shold be one each side?

thx for that ... I did find the XTR version whcih is more or less the same. I see no o-ring shown in either but part 5 looks to me like it is the seal.

XTR Hollowtech exploded diagram

The only O-rings I can see are in the cups (part 15), but there are some 'rings' (part 10)...

Not sure if that helps.
