Whilst out on a ride with Dad last week I mentioned his chain slipping, and suggested I replace it. Given the bike (an Evans Despatcher) is circa 30 years old I figured it was due, so suggested a cassette change too. Picked up the back wheel today and started stripping. I think it's a Uniglide hub, 9 equal splines and the smallest cog acts as lock ring too.

Definitely needs a new one! Its a 6 speed setup, but looking around it looks like I'll have to buy a 7 speed and just replace the 18t. I believe all the cogs are the same thickness regardless of being 6/7/8 speed, and only the spacers differ.
Thankfully the hub is spinning nicely, one less thing to do..

I wonder if any of these will be useful to you on velo solo's page....

It does say that the andel cogs can be used to make a custom block for use with 6 or 7 speed shifters.

nearly as bad as mine ^_^

If you don't let it get to the stage of the teeth breaking off, you can get extra use out of Uniglide sprockets by reversing them on the freehub body (apart from the screw-on smallest spocket).
Good luck with finding a replacement cassette.
