Shimano rear mech's - which one

I have a Shinano 'Alivio' rear mech on my Giant but just picked up a 'Tourney' mech as part of a 'box of bits', so which is better, if its the Tourney I'll swap, if not, anyone want one?

Tourney is real bottom-of-the-range stuff. Alivio is better, so I'd stick with that.

OK thanks for that, although I assure you that Tourney is real class next to the no (other) lable Shimano rear mech on a Woolworths bike!

Well, yes, but the less said about BSOs (Bicycle Shaped Objects) the better...

LOL, indeed, but when I got a complete bikes worth of bits for £15...very useful for my build as the cables etc were all 'acceptable'!
