Can anyone tell me if the decals are removable?

Yea should just peel off, I've just done it myself , removed the red on the wheels off the bike I've just bought.

They're probably too low a spoke count for me TBH but I'm just looking out for a cheap wheelset

Yeah they are. If you go for them, get the deeper rim ones. The standard ones are really too flexy.

Check out rose bikes - their home rims apparently come from the DT Swiss factory. 36 spokes on Tiagra hubs for £90, seems like the perfect cheap wheelset.

That said I have r500s and they are still going strong, with no decals - if I had the choice again I would get the Rose wheels, just for piece of mind on long audaxs etc.
