Hi,

Anyone know about the Shimano e tube app,? Or more likely the pairing of the Grx di2 11 speed.( It works fine gear shifting etc.)...
to the app?

Worked a treat last year's tour, paired to the edge 1030. Got used to scrolling on from the hood buttons. Plus other worthwhile bits.

It worked fine when last used back in August 2024.

Got the bike out and the app will not find the thing in the seat post? Ew111 or summit. Went to lbs spent £20 and still not working!!! He checked the unit, by removing BB.
Could do with a u tube thing on it. Can't see one anywhere. I,m not the best with technology.
Anyone had similar?

A quick search brings up loads of YouTube videos on the subject.
Example here.
Just search Shimano e-tube app on YouTube.
Now I will get suggested many videos about this app, I don't even know what it's for!

This may not be anything to do with you or your bike. On March 3rd emailed all "valued customers" 🤣🤣🤣 who have registered on E-TUBE stating the app doesn't work on Android 16. If you're an Android user and your phone is running 16.

It still hasn't been resolved after 6 weeks. The app is cr@p, Shimano no better. Yes, I have GRX di2.

Does that mean that for Luddites such as I, it's no point upgrading to such electrickery while I'm still using Android 9? Not that it's likely to happen in the near future, anyway.

Thanks for the update. I did receive an email from Shimano. I run android 15, so i guess it doesn't apply to me? Or does it?

Morning,

I have a ebike that really struggles with Bluetooth pairing to an Android phone, but is almost perfect with an iPhone.

Whilst this is no help to the OP it is not just Shimano. To me this sounds like someone somewhere fixed something and it no longer works.

Bye

I can't answer that as I don't have the technical knowledge. I'm unclear if you're struggling with connecting to the Shimano app or connecting your Garmin.

If it's the Shimano app I've simply accepted the app is shockingly bad. I'm surprised when it connects, not when it fails?

If your difficulty is with connecting to the Garmin then I would guess you have two options:

1. Tell the Garmin to forget the sensor and then repeat the connection process. It's possible your Garmin has updated at some point since you last used it and this has interrupted the connection.

2. The di2 is not transmitting a signal or has a fault. Apologies for this next bit. You are aware you have to change gear once to wake up the di2 before it transmits data? You can't just switch the Garmin on and see all the latest data.

My Wahoo connects in roughly ten seconds. I would expect a Garmin to be similar.
