Shimano chain tool

I just bought a new Shimano chain and it tells me I must use a Shimano chain tool, is this any different froma any other chain tool or is this just BS?

shimano chain tools rule but I have only cheapo chain tools to compare with - one being Tesco tool.

You won't go wrong - only drawback is it doesn't have the second row of slots for loosening a tight joint.

So true .... Last Shim chain I fitted snapped ... Glad it did as I did nt buy another..
