Hi, I have a Trek trekking bike with the rear derailleur being Shimano C101. Does anyone know where this stands in relation to the current shimano hierachy, ie is it comparable to Tourney or Deore etc?

I maybe posting this in the wrong category but I think the bike is at least 10 years old.

Cheers.

I think it's a bit middling - not as low-life as Tourney, but not as good as Deore.
I *think* some Altus parts have a c101 in the part number...

It's Altus. I have one on a Trek trekking bike - 2006 SU200.

It's perfectly functional if set up up properly. If you need to replace it, the current offering is a C051.
