Shimano BR CX50 Cantilever brakes

Hi need a little advice if someone can help. I have a set of the Shimano BR CX50 Cantilever brakes and need new brake pads. I have had a look round and the Shimano pads for these brakes seem to come in a set of two for the price of roughly £10. Yes £10 for two brake pads I was gobsmacked or tight. Just wondered if anyone has any info regarding similar pads that are compatible with these brakes and are preferably cheaper.

As its a cx style brake, there maybe a lack of cheap imitations available due to the limited market for this brake?
