Hi.
New to the Forum today but hoping someone might be able to shine a light on an issue that's got me beat.
May be new to the forum but not to bike maintenance, many years of experience.
However, just upgraded majority of the groupset on my road bike to Shimano 105 & some Ultegra and having a major issue with indexing in 9th & 10th though.
Everything else runs very sweetly BUT cannot get into 10th no matter how hard I try with adjustments. Never been stumped like this before. If I set 10th & 9th to index perfectly, 4th & 5th are jumpy & noisey, If I tighten the cable adjuster to work perfectly there I can't get it to drop down to 10th. After 3 evenings of trying I am finally calling for help.
Setup:
105 F5800 Freehub with 1.85mm spacer & 0.9 combined (As advised by Shimano) to run
Ultegra 6700 10 spd 12-30 Cassette.
105 8500 Medium Cage Rear Mech & Ultegra CN-6701 HG Chain.
All run from 105 5700 10spd STI levers
ANY ideas/thoughts/help/solutions greatly appreciated.
Someone, somewhere has an answer.
Cheers
