Recently bought some new pads to replace the stock pads that came with my front 105 brake, and having serious trouble removing the old pads.

I've removed the grub screw just fine, and apparently the old ones should just slide out - except they will not budge. Tried getting a screwdriver in there to push it, but only succeeded in ripping the pad slightly - it's like they are glued into place.

Can anyone suggest a solution?

Thanks!

I usually just use a screwdriver at the front of the pad and tap it with a rubber mallet backwards and it slides out a bit at a time.

I managed to get most mine out ok, but one of them i took a sharp knife to and hacked away at it. It didn't take long before it was in pieces on the floor.
