Hello

I'm currently converting my Orange Clockwork into a commuter hybrid (I don't have the space or £££ for another bike!).

All is going well, I've bought a pair of OS Profile aero bars and a new stem. I'm hoping to use Cane Creek bar-end mounted brake levers.

The problem is, the Suntour thumb shifters I was planning to use won't fit the bars, which are presumably 26mm, and I can't think of any other solution.

Does anyone make basic bar-mounted gear shifters for a 26mm bar? Where do the shifters usually go on a bike with aero bars?

Thanks, Andy

Welcome to the forum!

Most aero bars are used like this:

with bar end shifters mounted up front.

Pardon me if I am mistaken - if you are planning on using just this

then this recent discussion may be of interest.

Many thanks! Loads of ideas there. Yes, I just want to use the Airwing bar if possible...

SJS Cycles seem to have lots of useful stuff.

This is what I have so far, with Cane Creek brake levers, and a home-made accessory bar to carry the thumbshifters:
