Shelter tape

ordered some to see how good it is. Gets good reviews. Anyone got any first hand experience ?

Effetos Mariposas Shelter tape. Same job as heli tape and similar price but more of a gel like shock absorbsion in it than just a thick tape.

I've just really, really never got this. It's a mountain bike, meant to take hits off rocks, stones etc. A lightly battered MTB looks far better to me than a pristine, taped up, matching brake hose, poseur mobile.

No poser, downtube tape, each to their own

Done properly the tape is effectively invisible. A pristine bike always looks nice than an old knacker. After all, if the lived in look were so popular why do people keep clamouring for new cars?
