Yesterday I posted something about how I now have few visits from the P*****e Fairy since keeping my tyres nice and hard. When I left to go home, I found I had a flat. Fixed it and came home. Set off this morning, got a p*****e.

I wish I knew how you guys do it. I'm on gp4000 front and gatorskin rear - I know views on the latter differ quite a lot, but even so - at this time of year I consider myself lucky to get one a month. One in 18 months? HOW?

one a month is going it, fits and starts but I'd expect one every few months tops

dunno, keep the tyres at the right high pressure, stay away from the rubbish near the gutter

and check the tyres for anythig embedded every weekend, not that I do mind

use good tyres and change them when they start wearing, I ditched Gators and GP4000 for cutting and flatting

Last year I had one in 2700 miles on Marathon tyres (not the +'s), this year I've had 2 in 100 miles - but the second one was my fault for not doing the job properly:blush:. (The first of this year could of been my fault too as I'm not sure the tyre was fully pumped up.)

However I look on it as a positive experience as I managed to get the tyre on and off myself both times which I have usually needed a little help. And I did it without reading any instructions/tips at all (they are now filed in my head:thumbsup:wink:.
