Hello all I haven't ever serviced my bike so could people let me know what to check etc
i sometimes get parts from hellfrauds but wouldn't let anyone of those monkeys near my baby! weather i pay for it or they pay me for it!Halfords provide the first service free dude. However if this is your 2nd service and are doing it yourself, youtube is awesome for this

I wouldn't know how to check the gear adjustments or rim trueness is there a guide ?Gears (adjustment and movement), chain stretch and wear (you can buy a tool to check this), brake block wear, rim trueness and wear, cable wear. Oil and clean everything.
You may also like to check head bearings, pedal bearings and the bottom bracket for wear (and looseness). Oil and grease appropriate moving parts. Finally check your tyres for wear.
This is a quick but not exhaustive check list. I'm sure others will add to it.
