To my knowledge it is primarily for keeping arteries clear- therefor helping blood flow and also helpul in lowering cholesteral.

searching the net it would appear to be a 'cure all' but not sure, to me it sounds a bit like witchcraft!

uses the contents of silkworm intestines!

anyway, it does say it's very good for inflammation

anyone else come across it or used it

Found a bit more about this-I have a 4 page info' on it written by a Jonathan Rothschild. In one of the key paragraphs he writes..........
"It helps clear 'avital' tissue from the arterial wall"
I take it every day as I have high cholestoral but dont want to take Statins.

Generally speaking there has been no clinical evidence to prove it's good for anything.

As recently as last year a company called Takeda, Japan's largest pharmaceutical company has withdrawn sales of the enzyme. Marketed as Dasen, it was shown to have no greater effect on the range of symptoms tested than that of a placebo. Hence, it doesn't actually do anything but you might get better on your own if you take it.

The press release here http://www.takeda.com/press/article_40162.html

They've been said to have made 6.7 billion yen from it over the years, but now are owning up that actually it doesn't do anything. Does make you wonder about other drugs being sold today. For more information on bad science visit www.badscience.net.
