Sekura shackle locks.... Any good?

Hi getting my N+1 soon I won't leave it anywhere high risk as such... (the odd half an hour in our 'relatively' crime free town centre and at the odd cafe .....

Now I could go for a an £50 sold secure lock but do I need one?

I can get one of these through work (motor-factors) for a few quid

I've not heard of them before. A rule of thumb - spend 10% of the cost of the bike to buy a lock (e.g. £500 bike, £50 lock).

I'd get one of the ABUS D-locks, which are all pretty good.

Thanks I had looked at the abus locks and the kryponite ones.... probably wont risk the one in the link.... but was wondering if anyone was using one

If the bike is insured, you may want to check the T&Cs, most ask for a minimum of silver sold secure, if not gold (although all these are not equal)

Use a well known and tested lock. These might be good as a secondary lock but you want something tough as the primary one.

Didn't bother with this lock I went for a Kryptonite series 2 with security cable £22 off Amazon which seems to come with free (in the U.K) insurance up to a value of £800! (There are obviously T & C's for this insurance) but I reckon its a bargain.....
