Segregated Cycleways

Not a fan of of them, however a little help is required.

Does anyone know the regulations, if there are any, that cover their construction. Minimum width in relation to the cycle, actual ground features(drainage). And their junctions with roads they will have to cross.

They probably encourage putting signs and big drains in them. All the ones I've been on are like riding on a gravel path, they're that bad.

As far as I'm aware, lots of guidelines, often ignored; no actual regulations.
