i've a good moon rear light on my seatpost but i was looking something else. maybe a light to strap on my helmet for more visability, wondering what you good folk do for that extra bit of brightness?

I have fitted a Topeak Alien light like this...http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/topeak-alienlux-rear/rp-prod46999.
It's not the brightest, but is good just for that little extra high level visibility & batteries seem to be lasting ages. Doesn't weigh much so I keep it on all year round. Just in case of unexpected low light in summer. Solid light or flashing. It's got the usual Topeak fitting, but I have used the belt clip that comes with it to a spare light strap that fits. Just a bit of fun as well for a change in all the functionality.

I now use a Electron Pico Super 2 rear (and front) light. I use them for daylight (front light would not be enough on its own when it is dark).
My friends comment that the rear one is pretty bright and flashy, which is a good thing!

My current commuting set up is a bright steady light on the back of my bag and 2 other lights for back-up, these are placed 1 on each seat tube, this gives a slightly wider range as I have them angled ever so slightly outwards.

Never tried a helmet light other than a brief ride with a bright front light on there, didn't really like it.

i bought the challenge silicon ones from argos for £5 that fit nicely in my helmet http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3335813.htm , i do have some cheap ones i bought from Trago mills (£1.99) that are stating to go a bit funny after getting wet constantly (i had them just under my seat clamp with no mud guards!) but they still work. will be fiting my 4th rear light soon enough when i dig my MTB out the shed!

A Moon Gem 1.0 fits neatly on my helmet, front and rear should I need them. USB rechargeable little lights.

At the moment I have one of those Scotchbrite reflective armbands with little red LEDs inset, threaded through the rear helmet vents.

I tried strapping one to my helmet but it chafed when in the drops.

Anyone seen me coat?

Looks similar (if not identical) to this: http://www.planet-x-bikes.co.uk/i/q/LIPHBPDRL/phaart_bleep_dual_05_watt_led_rear_light

which are both copies of this RSP light: http://www.shopraleigh.co.uk/Product.aspx?pc=2&pt=117&pg=4725

The copy is cheaper from Planet X (2.99 vs 3.50 delivery) unless you top your basket to £15 in which case JeJames is free delivery (Its £20 for Planet X)
