Second hand Trek 7.1 FX (couple of faults) value?

Hi,

I've been offered a Trek 7.1 FX hybrid bike, looks a couple of years old. Only trouble is,

1) The front wheel is very slightly warped and may need replacing although I think it will be fine

2) The front brakes are sticking a little, I've tried adjusting this but it's proving harder to adjust properly than I thought. You guys will probably laugh at that as I imagine, adjusting the brakes is easy as pie.

3) The tyres are abit worn

It's £90. Do you think it's worth it?

It seems to be shifting ok and the frame and everything else looks in reasonably good nick.

Yes, I think it's worth it but offer £70

The front wheel sounds as though one or two spokes need tightening to bring it back into true- a LBS can easily do this or get a spoke key and do it yourself.

The brakes may need taking apart, cleaning and then reassembling possibly with new brake cable - again no biggie.

Looks good value if you can get it for £70 or so.

As accountantpete says, a LBS should fix the wheels relatively easily.
I have a 7.1FX, and although it isn't really my kind of bike, its kept well....apart from, funnily enough the wheels. I found them prone to buckles...in fact they virtually self destructed, with a little help from my son

If i'm looking at a second hand bike Riverman, i'd also be inclined to know how well it shifts gear...any issues ? One of my EzFire shifters has just failed.
Also, look at the chainrings and cassette...any bad wear ?

Really? i've done nearly 2,000 miles on mine, and no issues with the wheels so far.
