Seatpost clamps work really well. If you're getting a little slippage then tighten it up a little - having decent hex wrenches will make a difference.

I also usually put some Fibre Grip on the post, even on an alloy frame/seatpost as it adds friction and helps prevent movement.

If a brommie you likely just need to turn the nut slightly. But still make sure you are closing the clamp via the camming action.

and if this doesnt work, then its time for this. if it keep slipping down don't keep tightening overwise you eventually damage the frame.
Time for a new sleeve insert
its relatively cheap, but needs a specialist to do it with the reaming tool, Apps Cycle works https://www.appscycleworks.co.uk/ are reliable as close-ish - he's done this job on my brommie

There's an issue with over-tightening it. You'll eventually damage the frame.

Tighten it a bit or maybe scuff the seat post to create more friction, but essentially, once you've reached this point, you probably need a new sleeve.

I had this. I bought a non-OEM clamp and filed off the lip so that I can clamp it to the post to sit above the Brompton one. Adds a little bit extra stopping power.

In the end though, I needed a new sleeve, and a new seatpost as mine was bent. I've left the additional clamp on though.
