Afternoon all,

As title really. I assumed that the seatpost clamp was a single component but a sleeve type thing that the seatpost itself slides into has fallen out.

So, should this sleeve thing (sorry about all this technical terminoligy by the way;)) be permanently fixed inside the frame (bike shop fix) or can I just poke it back, tighten the clamp and it'll be fine?

I can take pictures of all this if it'll make more sense.

Sounds like a purpose-made shim. If so, just slide it back in and clamp as normal.

Thanks guys, appreciated :hyper:

I've poked it back in and refitted the seatpost. I assume it is all the right size and supposed to be there as I've owned the bike from new or is that a common thing for manufacturers to use a single seatpost diameter and shim frames that are outside of that spec?
