Hi,

The hex bolt on my seat clamp is worn so I can't get an Allen key to turn it. I was thinking of stuffing it with something to fill it out and get the key to bite. Anyone had any similar problems? Tips and what to use?

Also. Seat post is 73 degrees. So every time you move the seat up your pushing the seat a little further aft? Is that right?

Thanks

You could take a slightly-too-big torx bit and tap it in? This method was recommended to me by Smokin Joe of this parish, and it rescued an expensive bit of kit for me after I'd ham-fistedly destroyed the allen bolt. I've used it several times since on other people's bikes (the torx solution, that is, not the ham-fisted destructive tendency).

Cheers guys, will give the larger Hex a go first. Me and hacksaws are always a last resort!
