Does anyone here use it for training, or compete on it, if so why doesnt any clubs advertise the events as we always seem to miss them all

Didn't even know there was one round here! But I see from a google that there's one to open in derby in 2014 that I also didn't know about .

I presume we're talking about the one at Quibell park that's been there since I was a nipper. It was used - but as I don't live in that area any more I can't comment on whether it still is or what condition it's in. I may well pop in and have a look when I'm next back visting the parents as it's only a mile away. If anyone's interested I'll report back.

My memory of that track is of a cyclist in a race losing it on top of the banking and leaving half his kneecap behind as he skittled along the tarmac (or whatever substance it's made of).

It is still there and in very good condition, I just wondered why no clubs that race there advertise it beforehand

Maybe you could offer your services as the advertising liaison officer, most clubs are very short of help in lots of ways.
