After weeks of looking at different bikes / specs I finally took the plunge and purchased my new ride. A Scott Foil 20 2013 model which was heavily discounted 48%.
Saw it on Westbrook Cycles website. It has full Ultegra groupset with Ritchey and Scott own brand making the rest of the components up.
Westbrook where showing as 3-5 days delv so I called them to check on delv time and they confirmed it would be approx as stated.
Ordered it via website on Tuesday afternoon and it was delv'd at 0845 on the Thursday ! . I can only give them full marks for their service. The bike needed the normal putting together, bars on seat post and seat on and front wheel and all done. Gears seem perfect, brakes spot on. These guys are awesome.
Back to the bike, only had one ride so far of 56 miles, but everything seems good. Compared to my old bike which is an alloy with 8 speed, this thing rocks ! . Gears are so smooth and the brakes actually stop you rather than just slowing you down.
Was a bit concerned about reports of the the foil being a a bone shaker, but can't complain abut the ride. It's certainly quicker up the slopes as its lighter . I just need some new legs now to get the full extent out of the bike.
Hope this helps if anyone is in the same position that I was when changing to a carbon steed.
