Scott Bikes for touring

Hi does anyone know anything about this bike and is it worth the money, doesnt appear anywhere to put front panniers, any thoughts??

Looks like a fairly old mountain bike converted for touring to me, nothing wrong with that but the spec details are a bit sketchy and £495 sounds a bit steep.

yeah i would agree with that converted mountain bike,you would need to change the crankset .

Thanks for the replies its pretty much what i thought but i wanted confimation think I might hold out for a dawes sardar read good reports about them.

theres a guy on the thorn forum selling his club tour 700 quid i think its 52cm no harm checking it out.

Sounds very pricey for me, and odd for it to have a double chainring. I have a Carerra Subway that does pretty much the same and these are available new for much less than that. In fact £199 with a decent spec.

Very few MTB conversions will have front pannier mounts. (Just checked and my Subway does and so does current model)
