Schwinn Question

Hi all,
I have a gearless Schwinn Stingray bicycle. I wanted to install a Shimano 7-speed (coaster) gear hub on this bike but discovered that the gear hub cable must be routed from below, which doesn't seem to be feasible in this bike owing to the shape of the frame. What do you suggest that I do?

Most people on the forum are UK based and Schwinns are very much a US thing which is probably why no advice ha been forthcoming.

Unfortunately I know nothing about hub gears or Schwinns so I can't help
