In the last two weeks i have:
Moral of the story is always do your QR's up with the bike on the ground.
- changed pedals - grinding gone but creak super evident
- changed BB - creak still there
- noticed creak appeared to be coming from rear and noticed back QR not quite closed completely so tightened QR correctly - thought creak had gone but it hadn't it had changed tone.
- taken apart pedals repacked with grease - creak still there
- taken apart hedset re-grease and set - creak still there
- taken apart BB re-grease reassemble - creak still there
- adjusted handlebar and stem ensuring all bolts tightened correctly - creak still there
- noticed whilst pushing on handlebar whilst bike tilted that creak evident in fork so released QR to check if creak there when wheel not tight.
- It was a this point that the axel dropped correctly in to the fork.
- Did up the QR and creak gone!!!
Moral of the story is always do your QR's up with the bike on the ground.
