Andy Schleck pretty much seems to be sacrificing his season in preperation for the TDF, what is his thinking? Contador has that old fashioned approach of trying to win nearly everything he enters. Schleck really is putting all his eggs in one basket.

Could just be him not wanting to show his hand too early. But he looked average in the Tour of California.

Lets just hope its a good race, sadly I think there will be much focus on the drugs allegations

Both have the same approach IMO, use PEDs to get where you want. One currently better at it than the other, although AS may be 'fine tuning' by not competing.

What! I had always thought he was completely clean! Seriously.........

Schleck is the better rider - losing last year's TDF by default. I hope he wins this year.

I'm assuming PEDs and not the chain business. Either one is spurious. Contrary to popular belief there's no clear etiquette on mechanicals. As for the former, well, Andy's brother got the same treatment from the Luxembourg federation as the Contador got from the Spanish. Circumstantial, I admit but it is rather a shadow.

Trying to judge AS when watching the Tour of California was difficult.

Maybe he was just conditioning himself, but he didn't look like he was enjoying himself on the mountain stages. Whilst AC looked very strong throughout the Giro.

Ultimately AS can't TT and he will never get enough seconds over AC in the mountains to beat him on the penultimate day's TT.

Contador - no contest. If he is still riding. Given that, wouldn't be at all surprised if he took all three GT's this season. The real contest is Alberto and his lawyers versus CAS.

Hasn't the case been put back until August? Contador will be ok to ride. If he does win will his Giro & TDF titles be stripped? Bar a bit of a show when him and Frank handed one of the classics to Gilabert he's been doing very little this year. Hard to see anyone else counting - Paddypower thinks thus (without AC):

A Schleck 4/6 B Wiggins 33/1 R Plaza 100/1 I Basso 9/1 A Kloden 33/1 D Martin 100/1 R Gesink 11/1 R Kreuziger 50/1 V Karpets 100/1 C Evans 12/1 N Roche 50/1 R Porte 125/1 F Schleck 12/1 A Vinokourov 50/1 T Lovkvist 125/1 S Sanchez 16/1 T Martin 50/1 M Rogers 125/1 C Horner 25/1 L Leipheimer 66/1 J Fuglsang 125/1 J Brajkovic 33/1 P Velits 66/1 F Cancellara 250/1 J Van Den Broeck 33/1 C Vandevelde 66/1 P Deignan 500/1 V Nibali 33/1 R Hesjedal 80/1 Each Way Odds 1/4 places 1,2,3 top

Wiggins is talking a good race this year; the competition among the 'defiinitely not doping' riders could be close. If the drugs testers have got something up their sleeve there might even be a surprise winner.
