Why?
Because loaves of bread no longer come with those plastic sealing tags that did the same job when clipped onto spokes (but earned you a clip round the lug'ole if you pinched it before the loaf was finished)

Had one years ago. It was black and did exactly the same thing. Eventually the plastic card bends so doesnt give the right sound. Kids nowadays just used cans or bottles off the roads anyway. Cannot see it selling much.
