I have changed saddle and i was wondering if the marks underneath with numbers on ae standard .

So if i had a saddle with the number .5 as my setting would the new saddle be exactly the same?

The old saddle was a charge spoon and the new one is a boardman saddle .

The new one is the velo clone of a Airone and is longer in the nose so if i try to set it up using the measurement to the stem bolt it is further back on the rails .

The older I get, the faster I used to be ...
Lots of differences possible/likely - in the shape and positioning of the rails, the overall height of the saddle, so you will probably have to adjust your seat post height. Take some measurements from fixed points - stem bolt centre to saddle nose, stem bolt to back edge, distance to bottom bracket centre from top of saddle, etc. etc. before moving the old saddle.

Thats what i thought

I have the saddle height, saddle set back form bottom bracket and measurements from tip of saddle to stem bolt and hoods all written down from the old saddle.

I had to raise the seat height as the new saddle is thinner and i still need to dial in the fore/aft measurement a bit to get comfort/power spot on.

All this to change a saddle it might have been easier to keep the old one as although it was hard it was not uncomfortable ...
