Saddle ripping...

I bought my bike in Nov (Trek 1.2) and have just noticed that the saddle is beginning to rip at the back. I checked it over and I don't think there's any chance that it has been dropped or had something fall onto it to rip it? On closer inspection it looks like the saddle is also ripping in the same place but on the other side? Is this a fault in the saddle does anyone know? Is it a common problem or do you think I should go back to the LBS and ask for a new one??

Not sure what to do.....

It's worth asking if the saddle can be changed under warrenty; but realistically I think you've just got to put this one down to wear and tear.

Sounds like wear to me. What kind of saddle is it?
